Positive Behaviour Management
At Ivy, we believe that children flourish best when their personal, social and emotional needs are met and where there are clear and developmentally appropriate expectations for their behaviour.
We support children to learn to consider the views and feelings, needs and rights of others and their behaviour’s impact on people, places and objects.
Child Protection and Safeguarding
New Ivy also aims to provide a safe and caring environment where children can confidently voice their ideas, feelings, and opinions. All staff will be given child protection and safeguarding training before employment to ensure that they understand how to protect the children and themselves. This may involve recognising signs of abuse and understanding how to hold a child safely and support their personal needs.
Rules for use of cameras and videos
To protect our children, visitors to school are not permitted to take photos or video of our children. Parents will be asked for permission before their child’s image is use in any outward facing media.
Let’s eat well
The menu of New Ivy is supplied by the international professional nutrition meal producer. It is a food manufacturer licensed by Shenzhen government for international schools.
Parents fill out allergy information when signing up. If the menu contains allergenic food, the company will label the child’s lunch and replace it with a non-allergenic food with similar nutritional content. Children are provided with two snacks and lunch. Breakfast is an option for parents who need to drop off their children earlier.
